Srinagar Dec 21: Police alongwith security forces Tuesday claimed to have arrested four associates linked with Jaish-i-Mohammad outfit and recovered "incriminating materials" including arms and ammunition from their possession.

As per a police spokesman, the accused identified as Zubair Gul son of Gh Mohd Ganie, Adil Fayaz Ganie son of Fayaz Ahmed Ganie, Basit Ali son of Ali Mohd Dar all residents of Samboora and Shahid Nabi Pandith son of Gh Nabi Pandith resident of Konibal Pampore, were held by Awantipora police along with 50RR and 110BN CRPF.

"Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including pistol, hand grenade were recovered from their possession, " police said.

As per police, the arrested JeM associates "were in touch with JeM commanders and were involved in transportation of arms and ammunition. Besides, they were providing shelter and other logistic support to the active terrorists operating in Samboora & Pampore areas of Awantipora".

A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been taken up in this regard.
