Four more test positive for coronavirus in Kashmir, total cases in valley 8

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday said that four more persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease in Kashmir, taking the total number of cases in the valley to eight.

“4 more persons,  all from Bandipora, tested positive today. Preliminary  findings suggest they were close contacts of Srinagar patient who tested positive yesterday. All 5 reported to have participated together in religious event,” said the government spokesman, Rohit Kansal, in a tweet.

   

The number of persons who have tested positive for the disease across Jammu and Kashmir has now reached 11. Officials said that two patients – one each in Jammu and Srinagar – have recovered.
