Four positive cases of coronavirus in J&K so far, reports of four others awaited: Govt

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday said that onlyfour persons have tested positive for coronavirus so far, while the reports offour others are awaited.

“In UT of Jammu & Kashmir till date 3330 travellers andpersons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance, 2465in Home Quarantine, 44 in Hospital Quarantine, 416 in Home surveillance, 405

   

completed their 28 days surveillance period. 186 sampleshave been sent for testing, 178 negative, 04 (Four) tested positive, 04 reportsawaited,” said the government in its Friday’s health bulletin.

It added that a 24×7 toll free national helpline number 1075has been activated for support, guidance, and response to health relatedqueries on Novel Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19). J&K Covid-19 Helpline No.s0191-2549676 (UT level Cell for J&K), 0191-2520982 (For Jammu Division),0194- 2440283 & 0194-2430581(For Kashmir Division).

The government, through the bulletin, said that any personwith travel history to COVID-19 affected countries or person in contact withsuch a traveller, whether they are having symptoms or not, must remain in 14days home quarantine. “If the person feels unwell (cough, fever or difficultyin breathing) avoid exposure to others and seek medical care at the earliest,”added the bulletin.
