Freezing cold conditions prevail across Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 19: Cold conditions continued in Kashmir with all places recording minimum temperature below normal for this time of the year on Friday.

A meteorological department official said that Srinagar recorded minus 1.4 degrees Celsius against 2.1 degrees Celsius on the previous night.

On Wednesday, November 17, Srinagar recorded minus 1.5 degrees Celsius which was the coldest night so far this season.

Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.3 degrees Celsius against 0.4 degrees Celsius on the previous night, he said.

It was minus 1.9 degrees Celsius below normal for the place, the official said.
