G A Mir, Veeri, Shabnam urge Governor’s admin to resolve issues of NHM employees

President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee G A Mir, vice-president of Peoples Democratic Party Abdul Rahman Veeri, National Conference leader Mubarak Gul and acting president of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Fayaz Shabnum have urged the Governor’s administration to fulfill the long pending demands of the NHM employees.

In a statement JKPCC chief G A Mir expressed surprise over the administration sending termination threats to agitating NHM employees. “These threats are  highly deplorable on the part of Governor administration.  NHM employees have been rendering their services with dedication and honesty and  their demands should be met.”

Vice-president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abdul Rahman Veeri in a statement said that NHM employees have been discharging their duties earnestly and have battled all odds in catering to the medical needs of the patients hailing from far flung areas of the state. “Governor’s administration should address the issue of these employees on humanitarian grounds without any delay,” he added.

Senior trade union leader and acting president EJAC Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam condemned what he called the “unjustified action” against some of the NHM employees in view of the continuous strike. He said that such orders won’t solve the issue but will rather complicate it.  “The government should not use coercive methods while dealing with NHM employees but instead should hear them out and solve their genuine issues.”
