Police on Wednesday claimed that they have reached to some important leads and got vital clues regarding mysterious death of a 12-year-old boy in Ganderbal district.

A 12-year old boy Faisal Hussain Misger son of Mohammad Hussain Misger was found dead under mysterious circumstances in an orchard near his home at Buserbugh Alasteng here on Tuesday after he had gone missing from his home Monday afternoon.

Following the incident and protest from family and relatives of the deceased, the Ganderbal police had formed a special investigation team (SIT) headed by DySP Headquarters to probe and investigate the death of the boy.

A senior police official wishing anonymity told Greater Kashmir that several suspects were detained over the death of the boy.

"The police investigation team after hectic efforts has gathered certain important and vital leads and it seems a case of rivalry" an official, who is the part of investigations told Greater Kashmir.

SSP, Ganderbal, Mohammad Khalil Poswal, while confirming that police have got vital leads into the incident and have almost worked out the case, however, he refused to reveal the details. 

"We have almost worked out the case, the investigations are in final stage and we will come with the details soon," SSP said.
