Ganderbal Police solve burglary case

Ganderbal police on Saturday claimed to have solved a burglary case by arresting an accused and recovering the stolen goods including gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees.

A police official said that on October 20 a complainant Abdul Ahad Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat resident of Serch Ganderbal reported that a theft has occurred in his residential house.

   

The complainant alleged that unknown burglars stole valuables, including gold ornaments and cash of worth rupees six lakhs.

Station House Officer Ganderbal Arshid Ahmed told Greater Kashmir that after the complaint accordingly a case with FIR number 202/2018 under section 454, 380 RPC was registered and a police team rushed to the spot. The team rounded up one suspect and based upon his disclosure recovered stolen items including gold ornaments. “Further investigations are on,” the SHO added.
