Gear up men, machinery: Div Com to officers

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today directed Deputy Commissioners concerned and officers to gear-up men and machinery for hassle-free conduct of Amarnath Yatra.

Khan made these directions while reviewing arrangements putin place for the Yatra through Pahalgam and Baltal routes.

   

Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam andGanderbal briefed the meeting regarding arrangements made by them in theirrespective districts.

The Divisional Commissioner took detailed review of issuanceof bar and colour coded passes to employees, erection of signages on nationalhighway and Yatra track, additional accommodation, medical camps with doctorsand other facilities.

The Divisional Commissioner asked officers concerned toconduct safety audit of all accommodations for pilgrims and essentialcommodities on priority basis.

Deputy Commissioner Pulwama was directed to monitor statusof the highway on daily basis, from Jawahar Tunnel to Baltal point, tillcompletion of the Yatra.

Further, Khan directed the DC Pulwama to constitute teamswhich would ascertain and report the road condition and facilities alongJammu-Srinagar National highway and the trekking routes leading up to the holycave.

Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag and Ganderbal were directedto monitor condition of Yatra track round the clock and send report toDivisional Commissioners office.
