Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani was admitted at SKIMS, Soura here on Tuesday morning after he complained of abdominal pain.
“Geelani Sahab was yesterday seen by doctors of gastroenterology department at super specialty hospital, Shireen Bagh, here and was diagnosed of intestinal infection for which he needed admission in the hospital.
At SKIMS, the doctors put him on treatment and advised some investigations. He is physically weak and frail but stable,” the Hurriyat (G) spokesman said in statement.
” Geelani Sahab besides suffering from multiple ailments isliving on half kidney as his left kidney and half of right kidney have beenremoved while he was under detention at Ranchi jail, Jharkhand, in 2002,” thespokesman said, appealing to the people to pray for his speedy recovery.
