Geelani, Mirwaiz, Sehrai others pay tributes to slain militants

Pro-freedom leaders and parties have paid rich tributes to two militants Hilal Ahmad Wani and Suhaib Muhammad Lone, who were killed in a gunfight with the government forces at Wathoora in Budgam district on Wednesday. 

In a statement Geelani said that “insensitivity of the authorities is the sole reason for this unabated bloodshed. These youths are spilling their hot blood for the great and sacred cause of Kashmir and the entire nation of Kashmir is indebted to these martyrs for their ultimate sacrifice. It is the collective responsibility of the people of Kashmir and the leadership to take the ongoing movement to its ultimate realization.”

   

Hurriyat (G) chairman said that instead of taking measures to resolve long pending issue in its historical perspective,  New Delhi wants to thrust it’s choice through barrel of gun.

Geelani said that “our nation strived for right to self-determination for forty years following peaceful means, however New Delhi responded beastly and ruthlessly, silencing our legitimate voice through coercive measures. This arrogance, haughtiness and persistent denial can’t hold water for long and Delhi has to come to terms with the writing on the wall, lest this unresolved and unaddressed issue can erupt and burst anytime, engulfing millions of people in this region.”

Meanwhile Geelani expressed his serious concern and anguish over the killing of 15 year old boy Suhail Ahmad Wani in DrugmullahKupwara and 28 students, who were wounded at a school in KakaporaPulwama in mysterious blasts.

Expressing concern over back to back mysterious blasts,  Geelani said that “it is well thought conspiracy and bloody plan by oppressor to subjugate and deviate the attention of the people from the atrocities committed by the forces against them.”

MIRWAIZ UMAR FAROOQ  

Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed grave concern over the serious injuries to 28 students in a mysterious explosion in a school in Pulwama district.

In a statement here Mirwaiz said that “such incidents have taken place in the past as well in various places across Kashmir killing and seriously injuring children.”

“Due to the prevailing level of huge political instability in Kashmir, no citizen feels secure in the Valley including elderly, youth, women or children. All this is the direct out-come of the lingering Kashmir issue,” Mirwaiz said. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured students and expressed solidarity and sympathy with their families.  

Mirwaiz also paid glowing tributes to two militants Hilal Ahmed Wani and Shoaib Ahmed Lone, killed in Chadoora, Budgam in an encounter with the government forces and stated that the sacrifices of these youth are painful.  “Because of the Government of India’s extremely repressive policies our young and educated youth have picked up arms, which is extremely sad. These boys are giving up their present for a better future for the coming generations and it is incumbent upon each Kashmiri to safeguard and strive for the cause for which they are sacrificing their lives for,” he said.

Mirwaiz regretted the criminal silence of the world community vis-a-vis Kashmir situation and stated that their silence emboldens the GoI to keep increasing the level of repression and human rights violations.

Mirwaiz also strongly denounced the slapping of PSA on the Central University student Adil Farooq Bhat son of Farooq Ahmed Bhat of Khrew, Awantipora and shifting him to Kotbalwal Jail and said our educated youth if not killed are detained with “draconian” laws like PSA and shifted to from far off prisons, thousands of miles away from their homes and families, to punish them. Mirwaiz demanded unconditional release of the Adil Farooq forth with.

SEHRAI, SHABIR DAR, OTHERS PAY TRIBUTES 

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai while paying rich tributes to two slain  Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants in a statement said, “Sacrifices can’t be forgotten and the mission of martyrs would be taken to its logical end despite all odds. Martyrs by rising above fear and greed have taught a lesson that one should prefer death with honour to the life with dishonor.”

 “Kashmir issue has entered a crucial stage and the need of the hour to show unity and steadfastness at this point of time. The denial of birth right and extreme suppression has forced our young generation to sacrifice their academic and professional careers to fight for their fundamental and birth right.” Meanwhile, the Muslim Conference (S) chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar, in a statement also paid rich tributes to these slain militant and reiterated the  pledge to take “their mission to its logical end.”

Dar has also paid rich tributes to the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant Hilal Ahmad Rather who was slain yesterday in a gunfight with the forces at Ratnipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat also paid glowing tributes to the two militants slain at Gopalpora, Budgam and expressed solidarity with their families.   

Spokesperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat paid rich tributes to the slain militants. “The only crime of the people of Kashmir and particularly the youth is that they are demanding and raising voice for the legitimate and genuine rights guaranteed by the principles of humanity.”
