Give up rigidity: DFP tells New Delhi

Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Saturday organized a joint meeting of leaders of various pro-resistance groups at its head office, Sanat Nagar here with advocate Fayaz Ahmad Sodagar in chair.

“The participants on the occasion discussed threadbare the current political situation and unanimously agreed upon to have a fresh and updated strategy which can meet requirements of the current political scenario,” the DFP spokesperson, in a statement today, said.

   

He said, “They (participants) in strongest words condemned the ongoing bloodshed in the Kashmir. They emphasized upon New Delhi to give up rigidity and adopt a policy of reconciliation as the disputes are always resolved through a meaningful process of resolution and not by using military on every step.”

The participants expressed their concern over the plight of Kashmiri political prisoners in different jails including Shabir Shah and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.
