Srinagar, Nov 1: A gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in Awantipora tehsil of south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Tuesday, police said.
"Encounter started at Khandipora, Awantipora area of Pulwama district. Awantipora Police & Army (55 RR) are on the job. Further details shall follow," said a police spokesman on Twitter.
Earlier in the day, another gunfight broke out in southern Anantnag district. The gunfight was on when last reports came.
