Militant killed in gunfight in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

A militant was killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Larnoo area Cherri in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

Reports said that a joint team of Police and army’s 19RR launched a cordon and search operation in Larnoo.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.

A police spokesman said an unidentified militant was killed in the gunfight.
