A gunfight is underway between militants and the government forces in Srigufwara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said.
An official said that an exchange of fire is going on between militants and the forces in Anantnag.
He said that militants opened fire on the forces which had launched a cordon-and-search-operation in the area, triggering a gunfight.
At least two militants are believed to be trapped inside the cordon, said the official.
