Srinagar Nov 11: An unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing gunfight with security forces in Chawalgam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday.
The encounter broke out Thursday afternoon after security forces cordoned off the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.

“KulgamEncounterUpdate: 01 unidentified #terrorist killed. #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow,” a police spokesman tweeted.
The identity of the slain militant was not immediately known.
