Gunfight breaks out in south Kashmir's Pulwama

Srinagar Apr 24: A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Pahoo area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday afternoon.

"Encounter has started at #Pahoo area of #Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow, " a police spokesman said.

The number of trapped militants was not immediately known.

The encounter is believed to have started after security forces cordoned the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
