Srinagar, July 18: A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Check Sadiq Khan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday evening, police said.
A police spokesperson said that police and security forces have cordoned the area to prevent the militants escape.
The number of trapped militants and their affiliation were not immediately known.
