The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has quashed the detention of 7 Kashmiri youth under Public Safety Act (PSA).
Counsel for the youth said all of them were booked for stone pelting during the ongoing unrest.
The youth were identified as Bilal Ahmed Tantray, Mehrajuddin Tantray, Bilal Ahmed Tantray all residents of Matraypora Kralapora Bandipora,
Tariq Ahmed Panzoo from Ward 5 Baramulla, Nazir Ahmed Pir from Qazibagh Baramulla and Umar Raqeeb from Aloochibagh Srinagar.
"The court also quashed the detention of Beerwah youth Javaid Ahmed Wani," he added.
Javaid Ahmad Wani was released after three months of detention at Kot Balwal Jammu under PSA on December 13.
