Heavy rains and hailstorm wreaked havoc in several villages of Bandipora on Sunday evening damaging crops and orchards.
An official said that heavy rains followed by hailstorm damaged crops and orchards in Arin, Dardpora, Chiitibanday, Aragam and Brar villages of Bandipora.
"Heavy damage to crops and orchards due to hailstorm, in Bandipora villages. Teams will visit tomorrow to assess damages, for compensation to farmers," tweeted deputy commissioner Bandipora, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.
