Heritage sites in Kashmir need immediate attention: Renzushah

Farooq Renzushah, Chairman Kashmir Society and Kashmir Development, Monday said that the heritage sites in the Kashmir need immediate attention of the government.

While talking to media persons here here  Renzushah said, “The character of Kashmircannot be allowed to be sacrificed at the altar of conflicts, disputes andturmoil. World heritage sites, like Zabarwan, Takht-e-Sulaiman, Koh-e-Marranrange of mountains and water bodies and Shahar-e-Khas, need immediateattention.”

   

Lashing out at the successive governments in the state, heclaimed, “The heritage sites have been repeatedly ignored since the past 70years. Besides, the turmoil in the Valley has also played a detrimental role.”

He urged the Governor to look into the issues, so thatimmediate measures are taken to safeguard the character of Kashmir.
