Higher reaches in central Kashmir receive season’s first snowfall

The higher reaches of Kashmir valley experienced the season’s first snowfall on Saturday.

An official said the higher reaches of the Valley, including Zojila pass (11600 ft high altitude), Drass and Minamarg, on Srinagar -Leh highway received fresh spell of light snowfall on Saturday morning.

   

The 434-km long Srinagar-Leh highway was open for traffic despite the mild snowfall, he said.
