Police today arrested the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party (PPP) chairman ErHilal Ahmad War from his Maisuma residence here, a PPP spokesman said in a statement.
“War was supposed to lead a peaceful protest under the banner Hurriyat Conference (M) today to highlight the grave human rights violations in Kashmir and highlight these violations globally but was not allowed to express his views through a peaceful assembly,” he said.
