Hurriyat (G) decries restrictions

Reiterating its demand for return of mortal remains of Muhammad MaqboolBhat and Muhammad Afzal Guru, the Hurriyat Conference (G) today said, “although it is purely a human issue, India is very reluctant to this demand thereby violating all the principles of ethics and human values.”

 “The state administration imposed curfew like restrictions and curbs and in its crackdown on resistance leaders, arrested Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Haji GhulamNabi, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Bilal Sidiqee, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Muhammad YasinAtaie, Omar Adil Dar, Syed ImtiazHaider, Muhammad YousufBhat, Bashir Ahmad Chohan and Sajjad Ahmad Pala and scores of other activists. The state authorities will have to face people’s wrath and resentment and all these arbitrary arrests is synonymous to disrespect for our brave hearts,” a statement issued by Hurriyat today stated.
