Leaders and activists of Hurriyat Conference (G) and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) held a protest at Abiguzar here against the brutal killing of TeH district president Mir Hafizullah.
“Such barbaric inhuman acts are an ugly mole on New Delhi, disfiguring it beyond recognition. Such actions prove beyond doubt the brutal and inhuman mindset of the oppressor,” a Hurriyat spokesman quoted the leaders as having said while speaking on the occasion.
The leaders said, “Wiping out pro-freedom personalities and creating a fear psychosis in their families can in no way be tolerated and any conscious and civilized person with human heart cannot remain silent.”
“These extra judicial killings are carried out by well knit and well organized plan to send shock waves through the pro-freedom camp and these killers and their masters pretend to be innocent. Agencies very cunningly and arrogantly are putting the blame on unidentified gunmen as this misnomer has been creating havoc for the last 30 years throughout the state. Under the patronage of agencies and forces, these guns have long back been recognized by the Kashmiris and people cannot be deceived by such narratives,” they said.
They said, “Military might has failed to contain the pro-freedom sentiment and people’s commitment and that is why they have stooped so low to act upon the kill list prepared two years ago so that sincere and dedicated leaders, workers and sympathizers are gunned down in cold-blood in the broad-day-light.”
