Hurriyat Conference (M) Thursday demanded immediate shifting back of Kashmiri prisoners’ lodged in various prisons.
In a statement here a spokesman of Hurriyat (M) said that “the murder of a Pakistani prisoner in Jaipur prison has raised serious concerns among the families of Kashmiri inmates leaving them worried a lot amid apprehensions that their loved ones may also face the similar attacks.
“The leadership has time and again demanded shifting of Kashmiri prisoners back to Valley,” he said.
“The present situation is worsening in the wake of murderous assaults against Kashmir students and businessmen at the hands of fanatic elements while same elements are forcing the Kashmiri students studying in various universities and colleges to flee,” spokesman said.
He said, “in such a grave situation, the respective state heads of various states have failed to protect and safeguard the Kashmiri students and businessmen, thus leaving them at the mercy of frenzied mobs of fanatic elements.”
