Hyderpora Encounter | Apni Party urges Govt to take probe to logical conclusion

Srinagar, Nov 22: A delegation of the Apni Party led by its General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir visited the families of the two civilians killed in the Hyderpora encounter on Monday.

A statement of the Apni Party issued here said that besides Mir the delegation comprised of State Secretary and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohiuddin and District President Srinagar Noor Muhammad Sheikh.

The delegation visited the residences of Muhammad Altaf Bhat at Barzulla and Dr Mudasir Gull at Baghat-Kanipora where they met the family members of the deceased.

The statement said that the visit was conducted on the directions of Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari.

The delegation expressed profound solidarity with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.

“Apni Party from day one of this encounter was in favour of an impartial probe and return of the bodies of the victim civilians to their respective families for their rightful decent burial,” Mir said while talking to the family members.

He said the killings of innocent civilians cannot be justified on any pretext and measures should be taken by the government to prevent such mishaps in the future.

“The authorities need to take requisite steps in regards to the Hyderpora incident so that people can continue to repose their faith in an impartial and just system. I am hopeful that justice will be delivered to these bereaved families and underlying facts about this incident will be brought to light,” he said.

The delegation conveyed heartfelt condolences from the Apni Party President to the bereaved families and assured the party support to them at this difficult time.
