I can understand pain and sufferings of Pulwama residents, says Omar Abdullah

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that he could understand the anger and despair of the people of Pulwama.

“The people of Pulwama have got nothing over the past andfour and half years. I can understand the helplessness and despair that is writlarge on the faces of people here,” Omar said while addressing the partyworkers at Mujahaid Manzil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Lashing out at the PDP, Omar said that thousands of people in 2014 came out of their homes and cast their ballot but they got nothing in return.

“Those who you voted for in last elections did not use yourvotes for your benefit but they used them to wield the power,” Omar said.

He asked people to vote in favour of their Lok Sabhacandidate for Anantnag constituency so that New Delhi could be made”accountable” for what they did here during last five years.
