The workers engaged under the Centrally-sponsored Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) on Monday staged protest to press for their demands.
The workers assembled outside Dak Bungalow Sopore, where advisor to Governor was holding a public durbar, and protested over non-payment of their long pending salaries and failure on part of the successive governments to regularise them.
Later, the delegation of ICDS supervisors union lead by State President Abida War met the advisor at Dak Bungalow and submitted their memorandum.
