A major tragedy was averted by forces after improvised explosive device (IED) was diffused in Pulwama’s Handoora village on Thursday.
Officials said IED was spotted by army’s patrolling party along Tral-Satura road following which bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot, who diffused the device without causing any damage to life or property.
“A major tragedy was averted as it was a high intensity one,” said an official.
