The Revenue Department has expunged illegal entries for 11985 Kanal and 4 malras land in its records as part of the drive launched by the district administration Ganderbal to vacate encroached state and Khachari land.
The illegal entries have been cancelled and expunged for allof 11,985 kanals and 4 malras of encroached land across all seven blocks of thedistrict amounting to 6902 kanal and 16.5 malras of State land and 5082 kanaland 8.5 malras of Khacharari land.
After verifying the land records of all seven blocks in thedistrict, the illegal land entries were expunged which include 1053 kanal and10 malra state land and 1394 kanal and 19 malra khacharari of Block Kangan; 2220kanal and 10 malra state land, 783 kanal and 12 malra Khacharari of blockGund; 716 kanal and 12 malra State landand 649 kanal and 12 malra Khacharari of block Tulmula; 788 Kanal and 7 malrastate land, 383 kanal and 11 malra Khacharari of block Wakura; 1087 kanal and 8.5 malra state land and 869kanal 7.5 malra Khacharari of block Ganderbal; 1036 kanal and 9 malra stateland and 1001 kanal 4 malra Khacharari of block Lar.
On the directions of DC Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal, acomprehensive audit of revenue records was initiated in all the seven and district administration is now processing evictionproceedings against illegal occupants of the encroached land.
