One load carrier bearing registration No JK019A-1861 was seized in Naihari Range on the intervening night of October 13 and 14. The vehicle was carrying deodar wood illicitly felled by smugglers.
The smugglers escaped from the scene taking advantage of darkness leaving behind vehicle loaded with two logs.
The vehicle was brought to seizure depot at Trehgam.
A forest damage case has been registered at Range office Naihari Range and further investigations have been taken up to identify and trace the smugglers.
