Pakistan has urged the Muslim world to continue their support to the "oppressed people of Kashmir and also highlight Indian brutalities in the region against Kashmiris."

This was stated by Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz while speaking at the Emergency Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Makkah yesterday.

"The Adviser highlighted Indian brutalities in the Occupied Kashmir against innocent and defenceless civilians peacefully protesting and struggling for the realization of their right to self-determination," Radio Pakistan reported.

According to the report the Turkish delegation, in its statement, also drew attention to the growing tensions in South Asia due to the Kashmir dispute and called upon OIC to send a fact finding mission to Kashmir.

"The delegation called upon India to allow this Mission to visit IOK to verify the human rights violations," it said.

Pakistan also joined other member countries in condemning the missile attack by the Houthi militia aimed at the Holy city of Makkah.
