The incessant rains caused damage to two residential houses in this district on Thursday, and triggered slides at various places in the upper reaches of Uri area.
In Choont Pathri area of Baba Reshi, a house suffered intense damage after a part of it collapsed due to the land sinking. The house belongs to Ghulam Hassan, a local.
A residential house was partially damaged at Choola area in Uri after a retaining wall close to the house collapsed due to uninterrupted rains in the area, an official said.
