The president J&K College Teachers Association (CTA) and senior EJAC leader prof Tariq Ashai has impressed upon the state government to incorporate leading private hospitals of the country in the list of hospitals which shall provide medical facilities to the employees of the state under Mediclaim policy.
“Medical insurance is a welcome step and should continue without any break unlike earlier policy sponsored by ICICIC lombard which was discontinued only after three years as a result of which lot of problems were created for employees. The rumour, that only Government hospitals have been included in the list has created lot of panic amongst the employee fraternity because government employees are otherwise entitled for medical reimbursement for any treatment done in government hospitals,” he said appealing Finance minister Dr Haseeb Drabu to look into the matter.
