National Conference President and Member parliament Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday asked Government of India to increase investment in homeopathy sector on priority basis.
While speaking in the Parliament today, the NC presidentsaid that the increased investment in the homeopathy will give impetus to theresearch and job creation in the field.
“The world is as such moving towards homeopathy as analternative to cure diseases. The need of the hour calls for greater investmentin the field which will help the researchers fill the research gaps. Besidesthere are hundreds of trained professionals in the field who are still lookingfor good employment opportunities. The government must devise policies toaccommodate such youth,” he said.
“Our country has a rich tradition of Aurveda and Unanimedicine, the need of the hour is to develop that on modern lines. I urge theconcerned ministry to look into the issue,” Dr Farooq added.
