Authorities on Thursday snapped the Internet service in police district Awantipora following the killing of a militant of Pampore in a gunfight with forces in Arizal area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

An eye witness said that people, mostly youth, took to streets and pelted the forces with stones as the news of a local militant, Mohd Amin Mir of Drangbal Pampore spread in the area.
The traffic on highway has also been stopped due to clashes between forces and protesters.
