8 yrs on, Guzhama bridge incomplete

Construction of a bridge on river Jehlum at Guzhama Ganderbal was started eight years ago but till date the bridge is incomplete. Had this bridge been completed on time it would have proved beneficial for huge population as it would reduce the travel distance to Srinagar.

Vegetables being sold at exorbitant rates

Vegetables being sold at exorbitant rates is a matter of concern for everyones Authorities have turned a blind eye towards the vendors, who are minting money due to shortage of essentials in Kashmir.

Locally produced Kashmiri Haak  is being sold at Rs 60/per kg and lotus root ( Nadru ) at Rs 200/- per kg.  Similarly tomato, potato, onions and carrots are being sold at Rs 50/ per kg. Vegetables disappear from the market whenever the Jammu-Srinagar highway gets blocked due to snow fall or shooting stones.

Hopefully the authorities would look into this matter and come for the rescue of a common man.

Zakura residents seek CE PDD”s intervention

We the residents of Bagh-Usman-2  Gulabagh Zakura are facing frequent power breakdowns and very low voltage. Ours is not a new locality. It got electricity fifteen years back. However, when the population increased the PDD engineers didn’t feel any need to provide another transformer to our locality. It seems they didn’t even check load distribution and installations. Power cuts are a routine and low voltage has become a norm. We have already approached concerned authorities on many occasions but no one seem bothered. We requesting Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter and direct his subordinates to help us.

Reduce registration fee

We are not able to fill the forms for different posts advertised by various government departments due to huge registration fee being charged for filling up these forms. We request the government to reduce the registration fee amount so that poor youth can also take part in the recruitment process.

Aspirants

Increase upper age limit to 45 years

We the unemployed youth of J&K urge Governor Satya Pal Malik to increase upper age limit for government jobs to 45 years from current 40 years. Prosperous states like Goa and Telangana have kept overage limit for government jobs at 45 years. After acquiring high qualifications like Phd, DM, Mch etc, a candidate is left with less time to apply for government jobs. Sometimes vacancies are advertised after long time and by then candidates cross the upper age limit.
