Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir Wednesday termed the European delegation’s visit to Kashmir “eyewash” and said it may benefit the government but not the people.
Addressing media on the sidelines of a party workers’ meeting on the occasion of the party’s 60 day awareness programme started from Baramulla to highlight the people’s concerns over growing prices of essential commodities, Mir said that instead of the European delegation, New Delhi should have allowed the visit of Members of Parliamentarian as demanded by the opposition to take first-hand information about the plight of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
