Jama'at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir today strongly condemned the killing two more civilians by the armed forces at Lethpora in Pulwama district and Chatabal here.
"During the intervening night of August 2/3, two more innocent teenagers were deprived of their precious lives from Lethpora, Pulwama and Chattabal, Srinagar by the unruly forces. One more youth from Lethpora Suhail Ahmad Wani, 17, was shot at his head who is struggling for his life in SKIMS, Soura. Riyaz Ahmad was killed when he was returning home after attending his duties as ATM guard at midnight. He was shot at by CRPF personnel from a bunker near JVC medical college, Bemina and his dead body was lying on the road all the night. In the same way, a security guard accompanying ADM Ramban on seeing a mob of people near Lethpora highway fired upon them indiscriminately killing one youth Farooq Ahmad Kochay and injuring another very critically. These brutalities are committed in order to deter the people of Kashmir from raising their just voice peacefully which is being supported by the masses in the form of huge peaceful protests," the Jama'at spokesman Advocate Zahid Ali, in a statement today, said, adding that "Jama'at-e-Islami impresses upon the international human rights institutions in addition to UNO and OIC to send their delegations for reading the present situation of the valley and listen to the woes of the people and also take note of the atrocities committed by government of India upon the hapless Kashmiris."
