Fifteen sheep and goats were killed on Tuesday in asuspected leopard attack in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir last night.
Locals said that a wild animal, believed to be a leopard,broke into a cow shed in Chabderkoot area of the district and killed fifteensheep and goats.
The cowshed belongs to Tayoub Hussain and Abdul Rasheed ofChabderkoot.
The residents alleged that several domestic animals arestill missing from the cow shed.
They said that more than a dozen livestock have been killed bywild animals in past few months in the area.
“Despite pleas, no action has been taken by the wild lifedepartment,” alleged a local resident.
