Jammu violence has agenda other than mourning CRPF killings: Er Rashid

Former MLA Langate and chairman Awami Itihad Party (AIP) Er Rashid Saturday held a sit-in protest against “unending attacks” on Kashmiris and locals.

Addressing the media, Rashid appealed to the Jammu administration to discharge its duty towards the masses without being “biased.”

“The goons and fringe elements are being given free hand and no stern action is being taken to protect life and property of  Kashmiris and members of a particular community in various parts of Jammu and other places,” he said.

He demanded that the state government must reveal how many miscreants have been booked and arrested so far.

“It is shameful that while in Rajouri Muslim community was mourning death of Naseer Ahmad, a CRPF man, who lost his life in Pulwama attack, the goons from other community were vandalizing houses  in nearby locality in Poonch,” said Rasheed.

Rasheed said it seems obvious that making Pulwama attack on CRPF as an excuse, a section of radical elements wants to implement its nefarious designs against the members of a particular  community.

He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to forget that Kashmiris are worst victims of violence and need peace with dignity more than anyone else. “The peace, however, cannot be achieved without delivering justice,” he said.

He demanded full compensation to be announced by the government to all those whose property has been partially or fully damaged the same way it announces for other cases.
