A Janata Dal (United) leader from Kashmir on Wednesday survived a bid on his life when unknown gunmen fired at his car in Hawal area of Kashmir capital Srinagar.
JD (U) leader Sajad Ahmad was heading to attend a party meeting when unknown gunmen opened fire on his car near Bahauddin Sahab (RA) shrine in Hawal, said a police official.
However, Ahmad survived the bid on his life, he added.
The police official said a search has been launched to nab the attackers.
