Jio on Friday announced a special Rs 102 prepaid plan in J&K for the Amarnath Yatris.
The pilgrimage, which commenced on July 1, is undertaken byhundreds of thousands of devotees every year. Jio in a statement said the planbrings unlimited voice and data benefits to users including: unlimited voicecalls (local and national), unlimited SMS (100/day), unlimited data (0.5GB/DayHigh Speed Data, thereafter unlimited at 64Kbps) with seven days validity.
“The plan is designed to address the needs of pilgrims fromother parts of the country who are on prepaid plans. J&K has restrictionson the roaming facilities of prepaid subscribers from the rest of the countryand hence the pilgrims are faced with connectivity challenge during theiryatra,” read the statement.
The plan can be availed at select location in J&K,enroute Amarnath yatra; the plan is available only for the duration of AmarnathYatra.
