J&K govt sacks DSP Jail, school Principal under Article 311

Srinagar Nov 2: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday sacked a Deputy Superintendent Jail and a school Principal from job under the recently invoked Article 311 of the Constitution of India “in the interest of the security of the State”.

Seperate orders issued to this effect by the General Administration Department said that the activities of Feroz Ahmad Lone, Deputy Superintendent, Jail, son of Abdul Gaffar Lone, a resident of Futlipora, Chrari Sharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam district and Javid Ahmad Shah, son of Late Abdul Gani Shah of Eidgah, Bijbehara, Anantnag, Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bijbehara are such as to warrant their dismissal from service.

   

As per the orders, Lieutenant Governor J&K “is satisfied under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India that in the interest of the security of the State, it is not expedient to

hold an enquiry” against the two.
