J&K Mahjoor Foundation has nominated noted poet, writer and educationist Prof Ismail Ashna as vice-president of the foundation.
A spokesman of the foundation in a statement here said that a meeting of the foundation was presided over by Peerzada Abdal Mahjoor here.
During the meeting four noted writers and poets Rafiq Raz,Dr Nazir Azad, Ranjoor Tilgami and Shahzada Rafiq were nominated as advisors of the foundation.
During the second session an elaborate one literary scene of Kashmir was discussed in detail. All the members emphasised on publication of a quarterly journal under the title “Gaash” which was published by late Mahjoor in 1940. Subsequently the fresh addition of annual journal ‘Saqafat ‘published by Bazm e Saqafat was also released.
