Juma-tul-Vida will be observed as Youm-e-Qudus, Youm-e-Kashmir: Hurriyat (M)

Keeping up the tradition, the Hurriyat Conference (M) has announced that Juma-tul-Vida (last Friday of Ramadan) will be observed as Youm-e-Qudus and Youm-e-Kashmir.

“Imams and khateebs are urged to raise their voice for thepeaceful settlement of the world’s two oldest and lingering disputes—Palestineand Kashmir – on this day and to press on the international community to playits role towards solution of these disputes,” a spokesman of the Hurriyat (M)said in a statement today.

   

“The occasion of Youm-e-Qudus and Youm-kesmane-Kashmir, aresolution framed by the separatist leadership will be passed in all the masjids,shrines, and Imam Baras of Kashmir so that a fresh message is conveyed to theinternational community about the need to address the Kashmir dispute inaccordance to the will and aspirations of its people,” the statement stated.

“The Hurriyat strongly denounces the use of brute forceincluding live bullets and lethal pellets on the peaceful protestors atMuhammadpura, Kulgam, where more than 70 youth sustained injuries many of themhit by pellets in eyes with many battling for life,” the statement reads.

“Hurriyat (M), while recalling the gruesome double rape andmurder of Asiya and Neolofar of Shopian, expressed dismay that even after adecade, the culprits involved in the act continue to remain scot-free,” thespokesman said.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat also paid tributes to the militantskilled in Kokernag, Anantnag.
