Justifies Two Nation Theory: DeM

Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) secretary general Nahida Nasreen today said Mohan Bhagwat's claim about India being a Hindu nation "justified the two nation theory and legitimized Qaid Azam Ali Muhammad Jinnah's deep desire for creation of Pakistan".

"India is not a Hindu Rashtra. Muslims once ruled it for over a century. Bhagwat should cross check his facts before commenting such rubbish. He should go through the history of Jammu Kashmir. He should know that on October 27, 1947, India annexed this territory through military invasion and then took the issue to United Nations besides promising to give the people of this land the right to decide their future. Despite passing of 70 years, India hasn't fulfilled its promise and the people of Jammu and Kashmir continue to offer sacrifices of their lives to get Aazadi from India," Nasreen, in a statement today, said.

Rejecting Bhagwat's claims about J&K being India's integral part, Nasreen said, "Kashmir was never an integral part of India. India has forcibly and militarily taken control of Jammu and Kashmir. RSS chief must stop threatening Kashmiris and bear in mind that we are not scared of dying or being jailed but such provocative remarks will only strengthen our resolve to fight for the freedom of our nation."

She said, "Kashmir resolution is never possible within the framework of Indian constitution. The only solution for the Kashmir issue is that India quits Kashmir and implements the UN resolutions in the region."
