The strategic Srinagar-Jammu highway on Thursday opened partially opened for traffic after remaining closed for nearly 24 hours following snowfall.
The highway was closed last evening following snowfall around the Jawahar Tunnel.
An official said that the nearly 300-kilometre highway opened partially at 4 pm today.
“All passenger vehicles/ LMVs stranded between Ramban and Banihal were allowed to move towards Srinagar,” said the official.
