Kashmir RTOs shift to online version of Vahan 4.0, Sarathi 4.0

The Transport Minister of state for Transport, Sunil Kumar appreciated that the RTO offices of Kashmir Division except Leh and Kargil for having successfully shifted over to the online version of registration (Vahan 4.

The Transport Minister of state for Transport, Sunil Kumar appreciated that the RTO  offices of Kashmir Division except Leh and Kargil for having successfully shifted over to the online version of  registration (Vahan 4.0) and licencing (Sarathi 4.0).

The minister chaired a  review meeting of the Motor Vehicle Department in Kashmir Division today at Banquet Hall which was attended by Secretary Transport, Transport Commissioner, Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir and all ARTOs of Kashmir Division.

According to a statement issued later, RTO Kashmir made a presentation and highlighted the achievements of the department.

The Minister instructed to involve the dealers in the registration process and add all people friendly features leading to cashless transactions like payment gateways, e-challaning etc which would bring in more convenience to the public and transparency of the department. 

The statement added that the Minister advised that females be given preferential treatment while doing the official works. 

He appreciated that despite disturbance a revenue of Rs. 58.72 crores has been collected in Kashmir Division.
