The government- run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Friday reduced the bandwidth of broadband due to which internet in Kashmir is working at a very slow speed.
Greater Kashmir received many calls from subscribers, who complained about internet speed being very slow.
Sources told this newspaper the net speed has been reduced to thwart the Jamia Masjid chalo march the call for which has been given by the joint resistance leadership. "Let's see how the day passes off," said a source.
It's in place to mention here that mobile internet services were snapped off across Kashmir on July 8, soon after the killing of Hizb commander, Burhan Wani in an encounter in south Kashmir's Kokernag area, since then there has been no word about when the mobile internet services would be restored.
